The Elders exercise general oversight and spiritual leadership.

Pastoral-Elder: Chris Crocker

Chris Crocker has been the pastor of Markdale Baptist Church since 2019. He also currently teaches Church History part-time at Toronto Baptist Seminary.

From 2014–2019, he was the pastor of a chapel in rural England, while also pursuing further studies. Prior to that, from 2008–2014, he served in rural ministry in Ontario and as Canadian Army Reserve Force Chaplain. 

Chris was born and raised in rural Elgin County, Ontario, and came to faith in Jesus at a young age. He's been married to his wife since 2006 (though, they've known each other since primary school). Together, they have one son.

Bill Butt

Bill Butt is a retired accountant. He lives in Markdale with his wife Liz. Together, they have three adult girls. Bill oversees our prayer ministry.

Doug Reider

​Doug Reider is a missionary at a local Bible Institute. He is married to Sue. Together, they have two adult boys. Doug oversees our partners in mission.

Deacons

Deacons provide support through practical service.

We are presently in the process of appointing Deacons.
