Learning memory verse songs is an excellent way to memorize Scripture. This is important for fighting temptation, being encouraged, discipleship, apologetics, evangelism, prayer, speaking, and so much more. What would you do if God's Word was suddenly unavailable to you? If you have some Scripture memorized, this would not be as great of a threat.
