Announcements and Upcoming Events
- LADIES COFFEE HOUR: Due to inclement weather, the meeting scheduled for December 1 is postponed one week to Tuesday December 8 at 9:45 am. Lord willing, Rebekah Crocker will share her testimony and we will have special snacks (in a COVID safe way). We hope you can join us.
- SUNDAY MORNING SERVICE AND LIVESTREAM: Please plan to join us at 10 am for our morning worship service in person or via our YouTube Livestream. Pastor Chris will share a message from Ezra.
- SUNDAY EVENING SERVICE - ALSO BY ZOOM: Please plan to join us at 6 pm for our evening service in person in lower hall or by ZOOM. Haggai (Christmassy), Andrew Versteeg (Strathaven Baptist)
- LIFE GROUPS: We will study Daniel's Prayer for the people from Daniel 9 this Wednesday December 2. We have two groups that currently meet Wednesday evenings in person: One just south of Markdale at the Crockers (led by Pastor Chris) and one in the church (led by Bill Butt). The Wednesday afternoon group (led by Glenn Taylor) will be meeting by phone/zoom for the next while. If you are not part of a group and would like to be, please contact the respective leader or Pastor Chris.
- INVITATION CARDS: The business-sized cards we highlighted last week have arrived! There are copies in the foyer for you to use to invite people to join us here at Markdale Baptist Church.
- TRACTS AVAILABLE and CHRISTMAS DEVOTIONALS: We have tracts available and Christmas devotionals available for free in the foyer of the church. They are excellent resources at your disposal for sharing the gospel with others during the Christmas season.
- NETWORKING FOR NEEDS - Evergreen Nursery at Yonge Street Mission is functioning again on a limited scale and is open for our donations. They would like baby and toddler clothing such as onesies, winter hats, mitts, clothing, crib quilts, etc. These can be hand-made or purchased. Gently used and laundered is acceptable. We will be making a delivery sometime in the next month so please bring your donations to the church and place on top of the Prayer Shawl bin under the coat rack in the lower auditorium. Your help for this ministry is much appreciated.
- MONEY RAISED FOR RUSSIA: Through your generous donations and the art auction, we have raised $4363 toward the construction of a much needed church building in Pallasovka.
- CAROLLING IN THE COMMUNITY: If you would be interested in carolling, please talk to Pastor Chris.
- FEB DECEMBER PRAYER PARTNER BULLETIN: Hard copies of the FEB National's prayer partner bulletin are available on the bulletin board in the lower hall or available electronically here.
- LORD'S DAY MESSAGES: Our past Lord's Day morning and evening service sermons are posted on the past sermons page.
- SERMONS ON CD: If you or someone you know is not able to access the sermons online via the website, CD copies are available.
- PRAYER REQUESTS and PRAISE: Don't be shy! We would love to pray for you. If your situation is too personal to share, you can simply ask for prayer. It would also be extremely encouraging to know how you are praising God each week. To include both praise and prayer items our newsletter, please email them to markdalebaptistchurch@hotmail.com by Thursday end of day each week. For Sunday morning prayer during or after our Livestream, you may email them as above or text them to 519-375-2449.
